COOL CONCEPT… RIGHT?
Except, i’d seen this concept before. My friend, Dominic Quagliozzi, had done a painting a year before that made me surprised to see this. I think dom’s work is so much more interesting though. So, I had to share it..

About a year ago, i lived in los angeles and that’s where i met Dominic. We didn’t get a chance to hang out very much before i moved back to colorado, but we still chat randomly. Anyhow, check out some of his art. I think it’s worth it …

The Obama artworks created by Ron English….sure they are cool…but what are they? What’s the message, what’s the idea? He combined two presidents, now what?
There are a lot of ideas that you could assume combining a portrait of lincoln and obama would be about. But, i’m not exactly sure what Ron English was going for. That website i linked to didn’t really give any concept detail and i haven’t researched further to see if i could find his artist statement or anything…
I do know my friend’s concept was the evolution of politics… =)
